The members of the RISA Network, from universities, research centers and Vet + i, agreed on collaboration points and activities to be followed within the framework of the Network coordinated by RLASB.

On January 10th 2020 the members of the Animal Health Research Network (RISA) celebrated the first meeting, whose main objective was to establish the strategy of animal health research. The meeting was held at the Animal Health Research Center (IRTA-CReSA) in Bellaterra (Barcelona). In the framework of the meeting, each of the participants presented the technological capabilities of their institutions, groups and research areas, each indicating points of collaboration for the proper functioning of the Network in the coming years.
Members include the High Biological Safety Laboratory Network (RLASB), the Animal Health Research Center (INIA-CISA) and the Animal Health Research Center (IRTA-CReSA), the Center of Veterinary Sanitary Surveillance (VISAVET) of the Complutense University of Madrid, the Basque Institute of Agricultural Research and Development (NEIKER), the Institute of Research of Hunting Resources (IREC; of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and CSIC), the Station Biological of Doñana (EBD) of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the Regional Service of Agrifood Research and Development of the Principality of Asturias (SERIDA), the Universities of Zaragoza, León, Extremadura and Córdoba and the Vet+i Platform Foundation Technological Spanish Animal Health, as a participant focused on dissemination.
In the coming months, the activities programmed in the RISA network will begin, among which the organization of working groups in International Congresses, as well as the dissemination in social networks of relevant activities in Animal Health, which are invited to participate in all research centers in Animal Health and interested, to publicize and promote the great work done in Spain in the field of research in Animal Health.
